About
Therapy with Children

Play is the language of the child, and child therapy inevitably involves play, which helps to increase a child's trust and sense of being seen and heard. Research supported CBT-based tools to help

children with mood, behavior,

self-regulation or social skills are offered in the context of play.

Therapy with children includes guiding parents in how best to support change for children at home.

Play is training for the unexpected.

                          -Marc Bekoff

The Opposite of play is not work.

It's depression.    - Brian Sutton Smith

Dr. Graham draws on approaches shown by research to be effective, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), EMDR, behavioural approaches, mindfulness-and-acceptance-based approaches, interpersonal therapy, play based therapies, parent-child approaches, solution-oriented and trauma-focused approaches.
